4. How we use your information
We use personal data to:
-
Operate, maintain and improve the Service
-
Track purchases, validate cashback and credit your account
-
Process and deliver payout requests
-
Detect and prevent fraud, abuse or security incidents
-
Communicate with you about cashback status, account changes or support requests
-
Send marketing messages if you have opted in (you can opt out any time)
-
Produce aggregated, anonymised statistics to improve performance
-
Comply with legal obligations, accounting and tax requirements
5. Legal bases for processing (EEA & UK)
We rely on:
-
Performance of a contract – creating your account, tracking purchases, paying cashback
-
Legitimate interests – fraud detection, security, analytics
-
Consent – optional marketing emails and non-essential cookies
-
Legal obligation – complying with law, court orders, tax rules
You may withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect prior processing.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are essential for earning cashback. They recognise clicks, keep you logged in and attribute sales. Analytics cookies help measure traffic and improve features. A banner on first visit lets you manage non-essential cookies. Disabling essential affiliate-tracking cookies means we cannot track purchases or pay cashback.
7. Browser extension privacy specifics
The Pip Back Chrome extension:
-
Reads the current page URL to detect partner prop-firm sites
-
Prompts you to activate cashback or applies our coupon
-
Inserts coupon code in the checkout field when you click “Apply”
-
Sets affiliate-tracking cookies so the partner credits Pip Back
-
Collects lightweight diagnostic data (extension version, activation counts, errors) to improve reliability
It does not record full browsing history outside partner domains or capture keystrokes, passwords or payment details.
8. How we share your data
We share personal data only with:
-
Affiliate networks & partner prop firms – order IDs, pseudonymised user IDs, purchase amounts (to validate sales)
-
Payment processors – PayPal, Wise, banks (to send payouts)
-
Service providers – hosting, email, analytics, customer-support platforms (all under confidentiality agreements)
-
Authorities – when legally required or to protect rights
-
Successors – in the event of merger, acquisition or asset sale (you’ll be notified beforehand)
We never sell or rent your personal data.
9. International transfers
Data may be stored or processed outside your country. When transferring data from the EEA or UK, we rely on:
-
Standard Contractual Clauses, or
-
Another lawful transfer mechanism recognised by regulators
You can request a copy of relevant safeguards by emailing support@pipback.com.
10. Data retention

Account & cashback records: kept while your account is active and up to 7 years after closure (tax & audit)
-
